A blogger named 다정(dajung) wrote yesterday an article titled "6.25를 국경일로 제정하면 어떨까?". I went crazy criticizing not only his inappropeate question but also insulting those innocent deads' sacrificed for the sake of Korean unification war under the red flag of 김일성's Communist theology. I happened to be one of the million refugees escaped from the war of the North aggression to the south.
At the time of my age was 10 year old and left in Seoul with my parents and a sister, because it was so sudden for the communist armies to have crossed the border line of 38 parallel and occupied the capital of Seoul, Korea. 김일성's army accomplished this invasion in 3 days since the start of the war. There was no announcement from the Democratic government of 이승만 to tell for the Seoul population what to do with the imminent destruction in the attack.
All they did was a recorded announcement air-broadcasting over and over the radio, telling people "stay calm where you are". Nothing else! While 이승만 and their cronies crossed the Han river and exploded the bridge into mangled steel piles behind them. Millions of Seoul citizen were trapped in the capital city for 3 months until the day of 9-29-1950 Inchun invasion led by UN army of Gen. McCarthur and Southern forces including Korean pushed up north to the border of 압록강. We were almost there to the boundary within the grasp of the whole peninsula to be unified as one nation.
Millions Chinese Red army aided the North's remnant force to push back again to the South utill Seoul was in dangerous situation to be fallen to their control, our family abandoned our house near 중앙청 and 광화문 in Jan. 4th, 1951 ending to climb up the roof of a military provisions loaded train destined to the safety of Southern war zone. We settled afterward the city of 대구, where I continued my primary education at the refugee school camp, and after 3 years thereof came back to Seoul Middle School as a lucky passing student in the entrance examination.
Undr the the Communist's control of Seoul, we the population were given not a single grain of rice or other food stuffs whatsoever to the brink of starvation. I personally saw many killing of so called 반동분자, and so my own farther hided at various covers and places not to be captured. We the family collected enough acorns strewn around the 사직공원 making 도토리묵 so as to fill our empty stomachs.
However, we should have said we were so lucky that we were not masaccred just like those millions of Cambodia, which became another communist country in 1975 with the help of the Red Chinese Liberation Army though. Let me show you the historic masscare story of Cambodian people by the hands of Chinese and the devil of Pol Pot, the Communist. the below is the excerp from Wikipedia
The Cambodian genocide (Khmer) was carried out by Khmer Rouge under the leadership of Pol Pot, who radically pushed Cambodia towards communism. It resulted in the deaths of 1.5 to 2 million people from 1975 to 1979, nearly a quarter of Cambodia's 1975 population (c. 7.8 million).
Pol Pot and Khmer Rouge had long been supported by the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Mao Zedongit is estimated that at least 90% of the foreign aid to Khmer Rouge came from China, with 1975 alone seeing at least US$1 billion in interest-free economic and military aid from China. After seizing power in April 1975, the Khmer Rouge wanted to turn the country into a socialist agrarian republic, founded on the policies of ultra-Maoism and influenced by the Cultural Revolution. Pol Pot and other Khmer Rouge officials met with Mao in Beijing in June 1975, receiving approval and advice, while high-ranking CPC officials such as Zhang Chunqiao later visited Cambodia to offer help. To fulfill its goals, the Khmer Rouge emptied the cities and forced Cambodians to relocate to labor camps in the countryside, where mass executions, forced labor, physical abuse, malnutrition, and disease were rampant. They also started the "Maha Lout Ploh", copying the "Great Leap Forward" of China that caused tens of millions of deaths in the Great Chinese Famine. In 1976, the Khmer Rouge changed the name of the country to Democratic Kampuchea.
By January 1979, 1.5 to 2 million people had died due to the Khmer Rouge's policies, including 200,000-300,000 Chinese Cambodians, 90,000 Muslims, and 20,000 Vietnamese Cambodians. 20,000 people passed through the Security Prison 21, one of the 196 prisons the Khmer Rouge operated, and only seven adults survived. The prisoners were taken to the Killing Fields, where they were executed (often with pickaxes, to save bullets) and buried in mass graves. Abduction and indoctrination of children was widespread, and many were persuaded or forced to commit atrocities. As of 2009, the Documentation Center of Cambodia has mapped 23,745 mass graves containing approximately 1.3 million suspected victims of execution. Direct execution is believed to account for up to 60% of the genocide's death toll, with other victims succumbing to starvation, exhaustion, or disease.
The genocide triggered a second outflow of refugees, many of whom escaped to neighboring Vietnam and, to a lesser extent, Thailand. The Vietnamese invasion of Cambodia ended the genocide by defeating the Khmer Rouge in January 1979. On 2 January 2001, the Cambodian government established the Khmer Rouge Tribunal to try the members of the Khmer Rouge leadership responsible for the Cambodian genocide. Trials began on 17 February 2009. On 7 August 2014, Nuon Chea and Khieu Samphan were convicted and received life sentences for crimes against humanity during the genocide.
Do we Korean celebrates for the young generation to remember happily the day of 6-25 invasion by 김일성 and hudreds and thousands killings and the Great Korean relocation to the South, since the German mass migration in 5th century? Now we who survived the Communist annihilation by the Red army and Kim's 돌격대 to become a nation of 11th Economic power with the help of 이승만, 그리고 박정희, including lots of the impoverished general public at the auspicious working hard accordingly.
You, the young people can celebrate this triumphant 대한민국과 그 인간승리, not by the hands of 주사파 종북이들, but your "보수꼴통들"의 피땀 어린 노력이 있었다는 진실을...6-25전쟁은 대한민족 비극의 역사가 시작된 불행한 날로 기억하시기 바란다. 그 날, 6월 25일을 경축할 성질의 國慶日(국경일)이 돼서는 않되고, 그렇게 기억해서도 절대로 않될 것이 아니겠는가?
