미국 신문에 나오는 부동산 판매 광고 또는 오픈하우스 행사때 나누어주는 
리스팅안내서(Flyer 혹은 MLS의 Client Detail Report)등을 보면 
약어로 써놓거나 알파벳상의 모음은 아예 생략해 놓은 항목이나 설명들이 꽤 많아서 
일반인들로서는무슨 내용인지 이해하지 못하는 부분도 적지 않다.
이같은 부동산에 관한 약어들을 미리 알아두면 
해당 부동산의 내용을 이해하는데 훨씬 큰 도움이 되리라고 본다.

AC: Acreage

ACT : Active

AE: Annual Expenses

AGI: Annual Gross Income

CMA: Comparative Market Analysis. 이것은 판매하려는  주변에 있는 최근에 팔리거나  팔기 위해 나와 있는 비슷한 규모와 시설을 갖춘 집의 가격을 바탕으로 판매하려는 집의 가격을 산정하는 방법.

Cmplx: Complex(콘도나 타운하우스의 단지)

 CO: Certificate of Occupancy

COE: Cost of Equity

Contingency: 이것은 계약 항목 중에 이러 이러한 것이 먼저 선행되는 경우에 한하여 계약이 유효하다는 항목을 말함예를 들면 바이어가 구입 이전에 집을 인스펙션을 해서 이상이 없을 경우 구매하겠다는 것이나 어떤 조건의 이자율로 대출을 확보한 경우에 구입하겠다는 또는 현재의 집을 팔았을  한하여  집을 구입하겠다는 등의 조항을 말한다이러한조항이 많으면 셀러가 오퍼를 받지 않을 수도 있다.

CPR: Cost per Room.

CPS: Cost per Space

CPU: Cost per Unit 

CSO: Commission to Selling Office

CST: Cost of Goods Sold

CUP: Conditional Use Permit

CUV: Current Use Value
CVD PKG: Covered Parking

확장 가능성대지에 여유 공간이 있는데 토지 용도나 건축법에 어긋나지 않고 증축을 하거나 층수를 높일  있다는 

EMD: Earnest Money Deposit. Money put down by a buyer to show that they are serious about purchasing the home.

EQP: Assets-Equipment

ERV: Estimated Rental Value

EV: Elivator

EXP: Total Expenses

Fab pentrm: Fabulous pentroom, a room on top, underneath the roof, that  sometimes has views.

가장 윗층 지붕 바로 밑에 있는 전망 좋은 방.

FDR: Formal dining room.

 부엌에 딸린 좁은 식탁이 아니라 주로 거실 옆에 마련된 

 식탁이 들어가 있는 식당 공간.

FEN: Fenced(Y/N)

 FHA: Federal Housing Administration. Assists home buyers by providing mortgage insurance encouraging 

  lenders to make loans to borrowers  who might not qualify for conventional mortgages.

Fixer Upper: You'll have a lot of work to do. The home is charming, perhaps, but when you're covered in paint with a mile-long list of necessary household repairs and renovations, that charm might disappear. 

Fixture: 주택에 영구적으로 부착된 것들예를 들자면 바닥 카펫이나 전등부엌 캐비넷, 창문  덮개정원의 나무 .   이러한 부착물들은 명확히  놓지 않을 경우에 

나중에 분쟁의 소지가   있으므로 어떤 것들이 집에 딸려서 팔리는지 

리스트에 정확히 기록하는 것이 좋다.

FID: Assets-Fixtures Included

FL, FLR: Floor (층수)

FMV: Fair Market Value

Foreclosure: The bank, VA, or HUD had to take the property from the owner, who failed to make payments

Frplc, fplc, FP: Fireplace

FPM: Flexible-Payment Mortgage

FRM: Fixed-Rate Mortgage

FRV: Full Rental Value

FROG: Family room over garage

FSBO: For Sale By Owner

Full Bath: A bathroom containing at least a bathtub, toilet, and sink.

In-law potential: Potential for a separate apartment. Sometimes, local zoning codes restrict rentals of such  units so be sure the conversion is legal first. 집에 붙지 않고 떨어진 별채를 지을  있는 가능성미국서는 장모와 사위의 사이가 주로 좋지

않다고 하는데  장모(mother-in-law) 

오면 같은 지붕 아래가 아닌 별채에 머물수 있도록 한다고 해서 이렇게 부르지 않나 싶다캘리포니아에서는 이런 집을 casita라고도 부른다

콘도 같은 경우에 해당하며 낮은 공동관리비를 말함.
